an inch of welcome rain
precedes the fog

driving rain
gives my car
a needed wash

heavy rain drowns
storm drains

another downpour –
saturated yard
begins to pond

metal awnings –
gentle rain
sounds like hail

rainy afternoon –
ducks gather
on roadside pond

first June night
cicada chirps
after the rain

cloud rains
on neighbor’s metal roof
then crosses the road

supermoon
beams
between rain clouds

rainstorm leaks inside —
stairwell becomes
waterfall
