ate pizza
didn’t burn my mouth

Craig was late for work and inhaled his coffee. He was even later after going to the hospital to have his scalded sinuses treated.

“Burn the witch!” the townspeople cried, save one. It would be his job to cut the huge pile of wood, and his back already hurt.

waterlogged ground
squishes underfoot –
trash-burning day

burning the old barn —
heat washes over
propane tank
