veterinarian –
one little dog yaps
one little dog craps

by the auto shop
heavy traffic
in prairie dog village

chocolate lab
sweet on passenger
in pickup

counting my spoons –
changing the calendar page
will have to wait

restaurant –
ambulance lights flash
on framed photos

she lies down on
her toy mouse
game over

low pressure
brings high pressure –
grass fires

graves are everywhere –
they just have to be
opened

watching
the dog show
with my cat
